Privacy Policy

Mojo Sailing is operated by Mojo Labs, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Mojo Sailing iOS/iPadOS application and its companion website, including Course Studio (together, the "Services"), handle information.
1. Accounts, advertising, and analytics
Mojo Sailing is designed to be usable without an account. We do not use the Services to serve targeted advertising or sell personal information. We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, or account profiles through the app merely because you use its navigation features. We do not claim that third-party infrastructure never receives technical data when network services are used.
2. Information the app accesses
Depending on permissions and features you choose, the app accesses device location and time, marine instrument data (including GPS, heading, speed, depth and wind) over locally configured connections such as NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000, AIS information, maps and chart data, and course, waypoint, route, track, polar, timer, and safety settings.
Information such as imported waypoints, downloaded maps, recorded tracks, routing calculations and your preferences may be stored locally on your device. This replaces the original policy's statement that all data exists only in memory.
3. How information is used
These data support chart displays, instrument readings, navigation planning, route calculations, racing tools, anchor watch, man-overboard tools, and exports you initiate. Location and other data can be transmitted to external mapping, chart, weather, tide, current or other data providers when a feature requests information. Those providers may receive network metadata such as IP address and relevant query or geographic area. Their own privacy policies may apply. Do not assume every provider receives your precise GPS location; the information shared depends on the feature and provider.
4. Local storage and control
The app may retain routes, waypoints, tracks, imported files, offline caches and settings until you delete them, remove the app or the operating system clears storage, as applicable. Files you export, screenshots you save and links or messages you share are handled by your selected destinations, outside our control. Deleting data in the app may not delete previously exported copies or provider-held records.
5. Website and Course Studio
Course Studio can process route, waypoint and course data you enter or import. Some features run locally in your browser; maps and other external resources can cause network requests. The website may use browser storage necessary for the selected functions. Third-party infrastructure and hosting providers may process normal technical request information (such as IP address and browser details). We do not state that the website is entirely offline or tracking-free without a separate technical audit.
6. Data security
We take reasonable care in designing the Services, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Marine protocols and onboard Wi-Fi traffic may be unencrypted. Use trusted networks, keep your devices updated, and protect exported route and location files.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected a child's personal information, contact us through the support channel published on our website or App Store listing.
8. Privacy rights
Privacy laws in your location, including laws in certain U.S. states or the European Economic Area, may give you rights to access, correct, delete or otherwise control personal information where applicable. Rights and exceptions depend on the law and information actually processed. Use the published support channel to submit a request. Some device-local information may need to be managed on your device.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as features and providers change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material updates should be reviewed before continuing to use the Services.
